Carnival Mardi Gras 11/07/20 Eastern Caribbean Cruise
January 01, 2018 - January 07, 2018
Mardi Gras sails in 2020 with a nod to where we’ve been and a salute to where we’re headed. Our vision involves inspiring you to have a great vacation! When we launched our first ship, 1972’s TSS Mardi Gras, we knew we were shaking things up. We made cruising a lot less stuffy, a bit less fancy, the kind of fun everybody could enjoy. Nobody expected this ship to change the cruise world, but here we are! In 2020 we’ll be launching a brand-new ship with a familiar name. You guessed it: Mardi Gras. We aren’t just paying homage to our first ship — in cruising circles this name suggests innovation, signals the start of something big. And it shouts “fun!” at the top of its lungs. Everybody can enjoy Mardi Gras, sailing from Port Canaveral in 2020!
6 ZONES YOU’LL FIND ABOARD MARDI GRAS
Grand Central is designed to welcome guests and wow ‘em with high ceilings, big ocean views and entertainment. It sounds a little funny, but this high-energy spot is actually great for relaxing with a cup of coffee or a cocktail.
French Quarter Have you been to New Orleans? I’ve never been, but I know a little bit. Cool bars, amazing food, great folks, jazz clubs, funky little shops. Visit my French Quarter — which pays tribute to the Crescent City with all of these — and get a taste for NOLA.
Summer Landing A bit of inside info: any time of year is the right time to cruise. But if you’re cruising on me, check out my Summer Landing and enjoy all the flavors of summer. My BBQ was designed by Guy Fieri and my beer is brewed, oh, right over there. My pool and whirlpool are nearby and… really, it’s summer here, what more could you want?
La Piazza Our captain is Italian, and so is a whole bunch of the staff. So you know La Piazza is going to nail the details when it comes to the atmosphere, the espresso… and the food. Cucina del Capitano will serve up all the classics, and we’re even importing the flour and mozzarella for the pizza. Hey, if it’s good enough for the folks at the helm…
Lido Cruise pros know Lido as an amazing outdoor chill spot at sea, but even they’ve never experienced a Lido like mine! This zone is packed with fun ways to spend a day, plus it’s the home of Carnival favorites like Guy’s Burger Joint, Seafood Shack and BlueIguana Cantina. And don’t forget the soft serve — I sure haven’t!
The Ultimate Playground Okay, I don’t know why I left this for last. YOU GUYS, I HAVE MY OWN ROLLERCOASTER! (And I’m willing to share.) Check out The Ultimate Playground and you’ll also find waterslides, a ropes course, mini-golf, full-court basketball and more. Kids, adults… everybody’s gonna have a good time here.
